To install Mail Catcher, just execute the MailCatcher.exe that you've downloaded, then follow the instruction.
Mail Catcher is a software running in the background, therefore no shortcut is created in the start menu.
To configure it, use the Mail Catcher configuration tool available in the Control Panel.

Configuring Mail Catcher is quite easy, and can be done in 3 simple steps.
Event Sink
Mail Catcher registers itself automatically when at least one rule exists for a SMTP instance. Therefore it's important to specify the proper sink priority since an incorrectly defined priority may cause Mail Catcher to be trigger either too early or too late.
Usually when initialized, Mail Catcher will select the proper sink priority, if needed you can always reinitialize it by clicking on the reset button.
When the default configuration is not behaving as expected, you can always use the "View Sink Info" button to see all the registered sink on the SMTP instance, and decide which priority you want to assign to Mail Catcher
You need to remember that the Sink with the lowest value has the highest priority
Rule Definitions
When configuring a rule you need to follow 5 steps
1. Choose the SMTP Instance
2. Add or Select an existing Rule Name
3. Define the rule domain
4. Define the rule mailbox
5. Select the rule specific options
1. Choose the SMTP Instance
You need to select for which SMTP Instance you want to define rules. Mail Catcher will be activated for every SMTP Instance with at least 1 rule. Therefore, for optimal performance delete all unused rule.
2. Add or Select an existing Rule Name
Rule is the base of Mail Catcher. A rule is made of two parts, a domain part and an email part. When an email arrived at the SMTP server, Mail Catcher compared the email recipient list against every rule defined for this specific SMTP instance, replacing all unknown recipient for the domain with the specified email address.
For each SMTP Instance you can define an unlimited number of rules.
3. Define the rule domain
The domain correspond to the section after the @ symbol in an email address.
You can add one domain per lines.
For each rule you may exist more than 1 domain.
4. Define the rule mailbox
The email address corresponds to the address of the mailbox receiving all undeliverable email.
You can add one email address per line.
For each rule you may exist more than 1 email address.
5. Select the rule specific options
Remove unknown recipient: Will remove from email distribution all unknown recipient instead of redirecting them.
Redirect all incoming Email: Give you the possibility to redirect all incoming email to a specific mailbox, not just the misaddressed one.
In example, you can see in the following image that for the SMTP Instance "smtpsvc 1" the rule "domain.com" is defined to redirect all misaddressed email for domain "domain.com" to 2 mailbox which are "catchall@domain.com" and "admin@domain.com".
If in our example, we had a second domain for which we want to redirect misaddressed email, we can either add the domain to the same rule if it needs to be redirected to the same mailbox, or create a new rule.
License Information
When installed, Mail Catcher automatically activates the 30 days trial license. So there is nothing to do here until you receive your permanent license.
When you receive your permanent license, fill the box with the following information:
Name: The name you provided when registering
Company: The company name you provided when registering
License: The 48 character license code you received
